The EU’s Efficient and Green Mobility package: What’s in it for cycling?

- In December 2021 the European Commission presented its Efficient and Green Mobility package. As part of this, its Urban Mobility Framework states that “a clear priority should be placed at national and local level on the development of public transport, walking and cycling, as well as connected, shared mobility services”.
- This is the first time in history that the European Commission prioritises the investment in these modes as the backbone of urban mobility.
- This presentation will explore how this promising new framework can help both policy- and decision-makers to accelerate the development of cycling as a sustainable and healthy part of the mobility mix in Europe’s cities.
