David Cebon is professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Cambridge’s Engineering Department. He directs the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight and the Cambridge Vehicle Dynamics Consortium. Cebon has authored numerous papers on vehicle dynamics, safety, manoeuvrability, energy consumption, and the decarbonisation of heavy vehicles. As a founding member of the Hydrogen Science Coalition, he actively promotes the use of hydrogen technologies in transport. Cebon’s work focuses on advancing sustainable solutions for road freight, combining research and industry collaboration to drive innovation in low-carbon heavy vehicle engineering.
