Nathaniel Yates is a disability rights campaigner from Reddish, Greater Manchester, advocating for improved accessibility across public transport networks. Since 2018, Yates has led efforts to make all 96 train stations in Greater Manchester step-free, focusing on stations such as Reddish North, Bredbury, Davenport, and Woodsmoor, which currently lack adequate facilities for disabled passengers. His campaign gained momentum after a personal accident in 2013 at Reddish North station. Yates has engaged with local MPs, councillors, and transport officials, raising public awareness of the issue. In April 2024, his efforts secured £4 million funding for step-free access at Reddish North, with works scheduled for 2025. He continues to work with community groups and Transport for Greater Manchester to ensure accessible public transport for all.
